Day 53: Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies...and a radio interview on WJR's Internet Advisor!!!

As Ian's First Communion party was winding down I had to leave for an exciting opportunity. I was asked to speak about The Cookie A Day Challenge on WJR Radio's Internet Advisor show!! If you want to know what is current in the computer world or have a question on how to fix a problem with your computer this is where you should start. A team of experts including Foster Braun, Ed Rudel, and  Cal Carson advise listeners and promote the internet and technology industries in our area. They are on every Saturday from 4pm-6pm. It is definitely a show worth tuning in to!

I was invited to the Internet Advisor as a part of a Mother's Day special focusing on Mommy Bloggers.  Emily A. Hay of Hay There Social Media, the shows social media expert, was also on hand talking about all that is good in the mom blogosphere. She explained about how mom bloggers get started and highlighted some popular blogs in the Detroit area. One of my favorite Detroit based blogs is Mommy is in Timeout (haven't we all wanted to be in timeout?) by Elena Wollborg. She is smart, funny and real! That's what I love about blogs. Real people writing real things.

While being interviewed I was super nervous. I was hoping that my voice didn't crack...or that I didn't talk to fast...or that I didn't sound like an idiot...or....well you get the point. All these thoughts were going through my head while I was talking. I went into auto pilot mode, and I think the interview went quite well. My only regret was not mentioning Adam. He has been a huge supporter of this project and truly is my biggest fan, he deserved at least a shout out from me!

Better late then never; Adam, thank you for your continued supporting my "cute" project. I love you!

Since I was going to be talking about cookies I thought it only appropriate to bring a some with me. I made a batch of these cookies earlier in the week for the kids. This was the only cookie I have made to date that I ate more then one. They are that good!
