Day 41: Potato Chip Cookies

Trying something new. Since I started this challenge I have been doing something new everyday. Starting a blog, taping into social media like twitter, and finally learning how to use my camera. This little experiment is turning into much more then baking cookies everyday.

Adam bought me a Nikon digital camera for Christmas a few years ago. I will admit, I was excited but totally intimidated! As a beginning photographer, I now have something to take pictures of everyday.
I am learning about lighting and "styling". Styling the cookies is becoming more fun them baking them. The boys are coming up with some great ideas, and I love how creative we can be together.

One of our favorite cookies to "style" was this COD, Potato Chip Cookies. These Potato Chip Cookies were the perfect mix of salty and sweet. We added chocolate covered toffee pieces for extra yum. Trust me, you will not be able to eat just one!

Potato Chip Cookies

2 cups of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 cups of flour
1 cup of crushed potato chips
1/2 cup of chocolate toffee pieces
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a separate bowl, sift flour and set aside. Cream butter and sugar together.
Add egg and vanilla.
Slowly add in flour.
Add potato chips

and chocolate toffee pieces

Place on cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Cool on cookies sheet for 1 minute then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

That sounds fun how you're learning new things everyday. I love learning (and being creative, as I see you and your family do, too!). How cool that you and your boys enjoy creative activities together. :)

Stopping by from Mingle Monday.

Oh I am going to have to make these, just tweak them a little, these look so good, and my kiddies will love them.
